Yeah I noticed that too this morning. Creatures are a lot tougher. Like in the pay server. I had trouble with an elite character who is 5 levels below me!
Trarman - I think I got that worm off my system so I decided to download the new addons and give my new monitor a whirl (and boy oh boy do I loves it).
Anyhow, a problem I noticed with the new version is when I tried using my skils or training my skills (specifically brew potion and talking to a druid trainer) it told me:
Couldn't load. Blizzard_TrainerUI: Out of date [Okay]
I had that problem the other day, but the next time I loaded the game it asked me about the addons, and remembering what you had written, I installed them and shabadu's problem went away.
Sure, just pointing out the errors I find. Not complaining.. to save $20-$25 a month I think I can live with the couple times I decide at the last second NOT to exit where I initially wanted to.
I find I am beginning to enjoy this version far more than the last. I am definately going to try to get my honour ranking higher to see what the heck is in those honour areas of the game.
I haven't encountered any, but I'm a lookin' well not really. I've got a couple of baddies that I'm hunting that have dragons outlining their level. but their level 35 and 34 and both are elite.. it'll take some doing but I hope they got good stuff to drop.
Blizzard recently released patch 1.10 for everyone, which includes the usual changes (fixes, etc) and most notably weather effects. Of course, since our server doesn't make use of any of the new features, there's no real reason for someone to upgrade if they're working already. Although Shabadu did discover on Saturday that the new version allows your character to disrobe completely.... His human female character spent a lot of her resting time topless.
Other than that, I haven't noticed any difference.
I simply updated the instructions to keep with the most current patch level. You're fine to stay where you are. Heck, on my mac I am still using patch level 1.8.
Yah well I was able to smith my own new (and magical) chest armour. And when I took off the old one to sell it, there I was in my all my glory. See I knew there was a reason to play female characters. Dear gods, Trarman, don't disrobe your minotaur - I can only imagine the size of what is lurking under his pants... ;P
