Hey Diddles - have you heard about the upcoming movie Stardust? It is based on a graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, and has a cast of numerous big stars... Here's the official movie site: http://www.stardustmovie.com/
Downfall is quite a movie. It shows with stark clarity the death nells of the third Reich. There were some very hard to watch scenes. Especially when Goebbel's wife gives their 6 children sleeping drug and then when they are asleep poisons them all.
I was going to pick up another action flick for your birthday, but I kinda thought this movie looked really interesting and definately something you'd be interested in watching... I figured it wouldb't be the happiest movie of course, but I was fairly certain you'd like it all the same!
Have any of you ever heard of a movie called A Sunday in Kigali? (Actually a French film called "Un Dimache a Kigali")... it is a very moving story set around the time of the ethnic cleansing in Rwanda... an incredible story but very sad... being French it is all subtitled, so if that's not your cup of tea, don't bother renting it.. but one just an incredible tale.
Yes.. originally it was called Shoalin Soccer VII: A Sunday in Kigali, but the name was changed when people got confused by the fact that soccer isn't played much outside of north america.
Amanda and I watched War of the Worlds last night on TV. Actually, it was a good flick. Tom Cruise, despite his publicity stunts, does put on a good movie. Others in this case would be Minority Report and the Last Samurai.
