The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
This Pitt film garnered pittyfully little attention due to its languid and deliberate pace that could be mistaken for watching paint dry. The landscape is magnificently shot on par with Lawrence or Arabia or Man from Snowy River, but the storyline feels "on hold" and separate from these extra scenery shots. Brad Pitt was the pits. Casey Affleck probably gave the strongest performance as Robert Ford, unless of course he is that creepy weird, him being Ben's brother and all. Rating 2/10. |
