With the upcomiing release of Season one of He-man and the Master of the Universe Cartoon, I was curious to know what were everyone's favorite characters?

Hmm, since you put it "As a kid, who did you root for"...  I'd have to say He-Man.  But Skeletor, although a bit whiney, was a close second.  Just wanted to see that guy finally get the jump on the heroes.

I don't remember Zoar at all.  Ram Man and Man-E-Faces were lame even when I was kid.  Who's Duncan?  He doesn't appear in your list.

I never really liked Heman and didn't watch it a lot... but I always wanted Skeletor to rip Heman to shreds while Heman was just the prince...

Old Prince Adam was still buff, visually as muscled as He-Man.  The new cartoon Prince Adam is a scrawny kid..  oh, so is the new He-Man.  Nevermind.

lol! The new He-man kinda looks like a cross between a member of the Backstreet Boys band and Fabio.

I always thought the original He-man had a girly hairdo as well... and the creators must've had some kind of inferiority complex to name the lead character He-man... How overtly overcompensatory... why not Super-Phallus-Masculine-Man-Man... And they all wore skimpy clothing to show off their musclely arms and legs... And furthermore, the lead characters were crazy; A split-personality Prince Adam and his split personality cat?  I guess that's why I cheered for Skelator... at least he was normal (if you overlook the fact that he had a skull face and severe anger management issues).
