A new blood test has been developed which is 99.4% accurate in detecting ovarian cancer and is expected to make a big impact on preventing deaths of this kind through early detection.   http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2008/02/13/ovariancancer-test.html  It's currently in Phase 3 human trials.
