According to an article at PSXExtreme (http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/2598.html) Toshiba has finally conceded defeat to Blu-Ray and halted production on HD-DVD players.  This is great for any HD enthusiast, regardless of which media format you preferred, because finally all the studios will be releasing with the same format.
