This is a movie about a man who can see 2 minutes into his personal future.  He hides his ability by wrapping it in a mundane magic show in vegas, but somehow the FBI learns of his talents and wants him to help them find a stolen nuclear bomb.

For many, the movie can be summarized in 2 words: Nicolas Cage.

For the rest of us, the movie is quite enjoyable at times.  The casino chase, in my opinion, is the best part of the movie.  Unfortunately, once you've seen that, you want to see the rest of the movie, but be prepared for a bit of a let down.  There are two endings to this movie.  The first one, you know can't be the real ending, should have been the real ending.  It'd be fitting.  The second ending, however, is a little too hollywood for me.

My real problem with the movie is that they establish at the start that Nick's character can only see 2 minutes into the future.  But then as it becomes convenient, Nick can see further and further into the future.  One of the themes to the movie is that every time you look at the future, it changes, because you looked at it.  Understandable.  Sounds very quantum theory-ish.  From the get-go, he sees a possible future, then acts to change it.  However, we find out through the movie he doesn't just see a possible future.  He sees EVERY possible future.  I refer to searching the warehouse near the end of the movie.  That's got to be some serious information overload!

Do I recommend this movie?  The concept is neat.  Just seeing Jessica Biel dripping wet in a towel almost makes it worth watching.  And as I mentioned, the casino chase is quite entertaining.  It's a good "guys getting together and watching a flick with some pizza" type movie.  If you want an involving, crafted story, you probably shouldn't be considering Nicolas Cage movies anyway.
