The Premiers of Ontario and Quebec are getting together to tackle carbon emissions in our two provinces, since the Federal government doesn't seem to want to take the environment seriously.  http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/06/02/ont-que.html  One of the initiatives is to build a high speed rail from Windsor, through Toronto, Ottawa, to Montreal.  This could cut down on the number of vehicles driving all that distance.
