Well it has been years in the discussion forums but they apparently have finally set the cast... and the winners are:

Col. Hannibal Smith - Bruce Willis
Lt. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck - Bradley Cooper
Sgt. Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus - Common (that's the dude's name)
Capt. H.M. 'Howling Mad' Murdock - Woody Harrelson

At this point there are very few details but you can check it out here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0429493/

A-Team redux?  Aside from Bradley Cooper as Face, the others are still just rumours.  It's like 80's revival decade!
Transformers, G.I.Joe, Battlestar Galactica (which spanned 70's and 80's), Knight Rider, and now A-Team!
I can't wait for a movie remake of Benson!

Actually movie remakes of the Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, and Alf are in the works.

Facts of Life will star Megan Fox as Jo, and Elvira mistress of the dark as Mrs. Garrett.

Silver Spoons will star Vin Diesel as the father, Willie Nelson as the grampa and Will Smith's son as the son.

Alf will star Danny Devito, who interestingly enough, will require no costume as he is a hairy enough bastard and looks like an alien to begin with.

I think you heard wrong.. according to EVERY car magazine I've EVER read, it is Elvira mistress of the dark not only Mrs Garret, but also Jo, Tutie, Natalie and Blair... in an effort to out-do Eddie Murphy, she will play EVERY cast member as well as director, producer, production assistant, grip, best boy, caterer and even the camera operator.
Take THAT Eddie Murphy!

Liam Neeson as Hannibal Smith in the new A-Team movie?  He's currently in talks for the role: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/8090712.stm
I dunno.. he doesn't seem "cocky" enough for me.  He's unusually "sheepish" for such a big guy.

I agree, he's way too soft spoken.

I don't recall George Peppard screaming while playing Hannibal.

Quoted from Hawkeye
I don't recall George Peppard screaming while playing Hannibal.

  Screaming?

Nobody was talking about screaming.  We're discussing whether Neeson can carry the attitude that the Hannibal character is known for.

That's my point, the character of Hannibal was softer spoken, rarely yelling.. I don't see it as a stretch for Neeson.. think of him in Batman Begins.

I think my problem with him is that he's soft spoken, but pretty intense.  George Peppard was more brazen.  Not necessarily loud, but really cocky.

Being soft spoken and having a brazen attitude are not mutually exclusive.. you can have one without the other or you can have both.  Besides, there are plenty of movies where Neeson is more brazen, Rob Roy for one and Kinsey for another.

That just means they'll have a 5 minute montage of them building a new van from cable wires, human hair and dead monkeys.
