Microsoft's answer to Google has been a new search engine called BING (which supposedly stands for, believe it or not, Bing Is Not Google).  After moving Windows Live search to BING, they partnered with Yahoo.  (http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/business/a/-/tech/5778914/microsoft-yahoo-search-merger-begins/)  Yahoo's search is to be combined with BING.
Microsoft has even changed (without consent) the default search settings on people's PCs to BING.  (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13880_3-10277784-68.html)
Now they've been caught manipulating the results of BING searches to favour Microsoft products and services.  (http://advice.cio.com/shane_oneill/bing_search_tainted_by_pro_microsoft_results)
And they wonder why people prefer Google?
