The NDP will be considering dropping the "New" from their name, and just be known as the "Democratic Party".  According to a poll, it won't hurt their numbers.  Does anyone here think it will help?

Changing from the Reform to the Alliance to the Conservative party sure helped!

I'm actually quite surprised that 13% of the people polled would be more likely to vote NDP if they changed their name to just "The Democratic Party".  It's the same group of politicians!  They just decided to "re-brand" themselves...  seems incredibly naive of voters.
