The CRTC is supposedly considering granting the big networks a "Carrier Fee" which they can add to cable and satellite viewers' monthly bills.  While the networks say it will have negligible impact to your bill, others contend that the average subscriber will pay an extra $5-$10 a month.

Okay, this is definitely a case of the pot calling the kettle black.  The "Stop The TV Tax" site is funded by Bell, Rogers, and other such companies.  CRTC has recently granted them permission to slap consumers with extra funds, but apparently they want to fight to keep CTV, Global, etc from getting a cut of the pie.



Frankly, I don't want to give ANY of them extra money.

You don't give them anything.  You canceled your satellite a long time ago.
