Corrosion of Bruce A Unit 1 reactor caused the release of alpha radiation in November 26, 2009. Bruce Power claimed only 19 workers were effected to Canada's Nuclear Safety Commission, but last week, as mandatory regulatory reporting was due, Bruce Power changed its claim to 190 individuals and this week it is 217 individuals. It is estimated that the amount will rise again as Bruce Power undergoes further investigation.  Bruce Power is the only privately owned nuclear facility in Canada and this incident which is likely to be the worst nuclear accident in Canadian history raises questions on whether the private sector should be in control of the technology.http://www.ottawacitizen.com/t.....g/2572560/story.html
