The City of Kitchener has been serving eviction notices to its vendors at the Kitchener Market who refuse to sign a new permit that would allow the City to move the vendors anywhere in the building at any time. The City of Kitchener would also have complete control over the hours of operation meaning if they wanted to close at 1pm they could enforce that.  This permit would continually put vendors in a precarious position in terms of clients and staffing. Talk about bureaucratic bullies!
