Well a columnist for a small Texan newspaper wrote a column about how Canadians were too over the top in our patriotic pride, comparing us to the Nazi hosts in the 1936 Olympics.  Read the article (and if you have time check out the feedback and comments he's received).

The amount of attention this column has been getting over the past couple days is probably making the small newspaper pretty happy, despite the fact that it is negative attention.  

He did write a "retraction".. well sort of.  Check out his "apology" here - but really could he have made it any clearer that he and his fellow Americans were just upset about losing the world's attention for more than 30 seconds??!?
