I'm guessing her child would be too young to have anything but innocent thoughts on the matter.  I'm sure the ads are aimed at the husbands who are doing the actual buying.  Which makes sense, because nothing sets the mood for lovin' like a card that says "Here are some edible undies from our son... Happy Mother's Day!"
