After sixty years in nothing but a tight strapless leotard, cuffs and tiara, Wonder Woman is getting a makeover.  This new Wonder Woman will supposedly be tougher and have a modern sensibility.  I personally think this might be a mistake and make her just like every other super hero out there.  In the stories I've read/seen, it has been her "naivity" that gave her clear perspective.  She hasn't been tainted by modern moral dilemmas.
That aside, it is time she got some new clothes.  I mean if Hulk can change his skin colour four or five times, let a girl get a jacket!

But after 60 years can she really continue to claim to be naive?  After that amount of time if she's still having problems with modernity, then she's quite likely inbred and lacks the gray matter required for adapting.  Then she should be selected for extinction.

Perhaps naivity was the wrong word.  I meant to convey that the society she was raised in gave her the opportunity to cement a very clear understanding from "right" and "wrong".  "Modern" society is mostly shades of grey.  As such, she has quite a clear moral compass which I think is a unique trait for her amongst all the other superheroes.  Getting rid of that could be a mistake.

Apparently after having received numerous complaints about the new look of Wonder Woman, DC has decided to go with the backup plan (which still centers around the new storyline of Wonder Woman being raised in an urban environment).

You know, picture aside, I never really liked Wonder Woman. I thought her attributes were stupid.  Glorified cufflinks and a golden rope of truth.  And the outfit was dumb... really dumb.  Yes, superman is wearing tights and frankly I think that's stupid too, but fighting crime in a bathing suit is really dumb.

I guess you're somewhat happy by the outfit change then.

Next up, just for Hawkeye:
- Captain America gets a star spangled codpiece
- Hulk becomes a pornstar when he discovers another muscle with limitless growth
- Thor gives up thunder to become God of Fashion
- Superman loses the tights but keeps the cape, and just the cape.
- Elastic Man earns big bucks as Hulk's condom
- The Flash suffers a broken back and is stuck in a wheelchair
- Batman loses his voice and has to intimidate villains with pantomime
- Ant Man/Giant Man gets more spin off comics than Spiderman and X-Men combined, yet nothing has changed with his character
- Doctor Strange, Doctor Octopus and Doctor Doom star in a sitcom: Menage-a-Docs

Really Hawkeye?  Wonderwoman is the one that bugs you?  What about the Wonder TWINS?  They have the power of transformation, but only when they're together, and one can only turn into a form of water while the other can only turn into some kind of animal (if I remember correctly).  The hot Amazon in the bathing suit is waaaay up in the rankings from those two, in my opinion!

We were talking about BlunderWoman... If you want to discuss whom I really hate as super heros Diddly made the list already just above. (with the exception of batman, Doc Ock and Doc Doom, whom i like)

As far as powers go, who needs the rope of truth when you can transform into a super-gorilla and pound the truth outta someone.  But, as you say, the wonder twins are idiots too.  In super friends, which my girls love, the twins are always messin' things up.  And their pet space monkey Gleek, well, is as useless as a third nipple on Shabadu.

Nicolas Cage as Wonder Woman.  No need to imagine.  Here's a photo!  Now that's horrifying!

For anyone not a fan of WW's new look (as opposed to just not being a fan), this is apparently not a permanent thing.  Starting with issue #600, someone altered the past and destroyed her amazon island when she was still a baby.  Thus she grows up in an alternate timeline.  This story will progress for the next year or so, while WW tries to find out what history SHOULD be, who busted it and why, and try to set things straight.

Her bathing suit costume is too iconic to ditch.  DC knows this.

Well to be fair, he looks like a young woman with an old face... or with his face, however aged it is or isn't.

Although as a follow up to Hawkeye's comment about Gleek being as useless as a third nipple on me.. first of all Gleek is NOT useless, he served to save the wonder twins from numerous incidents when all hope seemed lost he was the forgotten one that helped them achieve whatever lame achievement that needed achieving to not die.  Although your assessment of comparing him to my third nipple ironically was accurate since it HAS proven to be life saving on eleven separate occasions and literally world saving twice now!

He's not kidding... the eleven times he locked himself in the trunk of his car, and two international diplomatic incidents.  One involved a dispute between the US and Russia after Yeltsin drunk-dialed the White House, causing Dubya to miss his nap, and the other happened when a standoff occurred off the coast of North Dakota over Canadian Dairy fishing practices (apparently the aquatic bovine population has been in decline for years, but PETA has been too worried about chickens to support the cause).  As unlikely as it sounds, in all of the above cases, Shabadu's third nipple man-milk was the only thing that could save the day.  After the last incident, North Dakota actually renamed a town in his honor.
