Small World by Days of Wonder is a fun fantasy "Risk" style game in which you try to achieve geographical (and sequential economic) domination over the other players in a mere ten rounds. Small World combines races and special powers at random and the player(s) must select the best combination to eliminate their enemies. The randomness of the race+power combination keeps strategy making fresh. A full game takes around 60-90 minutes.

I really like the randomness of the race/power combos.  It makes for a different game each time, with new strategies to try.  You can't use the same play style every time.  It's also cool that they give you a different map board for each number of players, so that a 2 player game is just as fast and challenging as a 4 player game.

We've played with one of the expansion packs too: http://blog.daysofwonder.com/2009/09/14/small-world-mini-expansions/  Grand Dames.  It adds to the game without adding complexity or offsetting the balance.
