I will admit when I heard about Salt and saw the utterly lame trailer. I was not at all interested in seeing it and had to be gpushed into watching it.

Salt is an original screenplay by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland and stars Angelina Jolie. Jolie stars an a "sleeper" Russian spy who has infiltrated the CIA and her mission has been activated. I was extremely impressed at Jolie's fighting skills. Often in movies, female actors are not able to fake punch/hit/kick and make it look like extreme force was used and seem realistic when the opponent falls. [If she was truly hitting/kicking/smashing the opponents-hats off to them for taking the blows to make the movie look great and to her for getting good training]. It was nice to get a strong female action character. Other notable actors include Liev Schreiber (Defiance/X-Men/Painted Veil) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Firefly/Kinky Boots/Redbelt).

Having watched the theatrical version and seen parts of the director's cut, I would highly recommend watching that version. There are two main differences that make that version have more grit. A good review of the differences in the movies can be found here(spoilers alert)http://www.schnittberichte.com/report.php?ID=117156 or for a laugh check out the movies goofs http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0944835/goofs

Looking forward to seeing what they do in the sequel..
