The CRTC announced that they want to force usage-based internet pricing because Canadians might not be aware how addicted they are to the internet.

In the second link (a brief follow-up) hundreds of thousands of Canadians signed an online petition saying that it is a crap idea and that they do not agree and now the CRTC is expected to overturn their ruling...

Yeah... I'm sure the real reason for the price hike was for the good of the consumer, and not because Rogers and Bell has the CRTC in their pockets...
