EA and Dice have been teasing us with Battlefield 3 hype lately.  Today they released the first trailer that actually shows gameplay.  Wow.  Call of Duty has nothing on this.  Medal of Honor can't touch it.  Battlefield Bad Company 2, as fun as it is, doesn't come close.
This is the culmination of several years of work by EA and Dice on their new Frostbite 2.0 engine.  Job well done!  Visually, anyway.  We'll have to wait till some reviewers get to actually play it.

The level of destruction in this game is intense!  Also it was kind of neat during the technology demo part how they could dynamically change the lighting in the city for different combat times.

Hope you didn't get excited too much by the first video, since that was for Frostbyte 1.0, which was used in the first two Bad Company games.

I'm not sold on the hand-to-hand fighting, but everything else seems pretty incredible.
