It's not an wailing infant, and makes much more pleasant sounds.  It's a Fender T-Bucket 300CE Acoustic Electric with built in pre-amp and tuner.  Got it on sale from Sherwood Music this weekend, and it's great fun to play.
I just wanted a simple acoustic guitar to strum around on without having to plug in to get any volume (since I fear I am strumming too hard on the old electric while practicing), but this Fender had such a rich natural sound unplugged, it jumped to the top of my list.  Being able to plug it in for full crunchy electric mayhem is a sweet bonus, and made it worth the extra cost.
