I wouldn't have believed it till I saw the video.  This is a robotic bird that actually flies, just like the real thing!  Not some rudimentary approximation of bird flight, but actual flapping wings that make it soar.  http://www.festo.com/cms/en_corp/11369_11439.htm#id_11439

I KNEW that lousy owl would come up.  Stupid clockwork golden owl.  I can understand why Sam Worthington lost his cool over the thing. http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/w0002125.html

Wow, what a whiner Sam Worthington is...

I liked Bubo in the original movie... of course I did watch it when I was 7 or so.. one of the only movies I went to see with my dad in theatre... so perhaps my memory of the movie was skewed more by circumstance... or maybe Bubo has been the coolest robot ever to appear in film, more kick a** than T-2000 and certainly more believable than David (Haley Joel Osment's robot in AI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqS83f-NUww).

Hector from Saturn 3 was the scariest Robot I remember.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturn_3  I mean it killed Kirk Douglas AND Harvey Keitel.  How bad a** is that?
