After a record 58 hr filibuster, the House of Commons has passed Back-to-work legislation for Canada Post employees. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2011/06/25/canada-post.html The bill indicates binding arbitration where an arbitrator (designated by who?) will decide between the union's offer and Canada Post's. The interesting thing to note here: Cons refused to budge. NDP refused to budge, but kudos for trying to give the union and corporation time to work it out themselves. The Libs voted WITH the Cons to end the debate. And Elizabeth May, with a party of 1 and no one to spell her, participated through the whole thing, snatching only 3 hrs total in a 61 hr stretch.
