After finally confirming that global warming is real in a study funded by the Koch brothers ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-15373071), we now look at just how badly we're screwing up the environment. It turns out CO 2 emissions are surpassing the worst case scenario. Source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/.....gIQA74r1mM_blog.htmlRemember the predictions of a change of just 1 degree? Ice caps melting. Sea level rising. Gulf Stream stops, causing Europe to freeze. Extreme drought and flooding. Well, new models predict, at the current rate of increase, we'll hit an average of 5 degrees hotter by 2100. The chart from the article shows the total G8 emissions, and we see Canada is one of the lowest. However, I've included a Google Public data chart, with more recent data, and adjusted per capita. In this chart we see Canada dwarfs China and is nearly as bad as the US. Source: http://www.google.ca/publicdat.....035&iconSize=0.5
