Rather than EVERYTHING I post making the making the "Weird of Funny" thread I started a billion years ago, I thought I would make another thread exclusive to movies.
I think this movie looks like a terrific end to the Batman trilogy - once this is over and a new Batman begins, will they head down the path of Spiderman and make Batman into Batman Jr? I think the Batman cartoon where Bruce Wayne is an old fart and helping train up the newest Batman would make for a good one off (or series.. either could work)...
Expendables 2 trailer shows Willis and Schwarzenegger joining in the action, plus Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Vandamme are in the movie this time round.
From the Stupid Executives Dept: GI Joe Retaliation, which was due to release next month, is being pushed back till March 2013 so they can convert it to 3D.
I was looking forward to this movie, because it looked like an action flick that didn't take itself too seriously. Now I admit I'm a bit soured by this pointless delay and don't know if I want to give them my money any more. I don't even WANT to see it in 3D!
Hahahaha.. my favourite line from that article is "We would argue that comparing Titanic to G.I. Joe is like comparing apples to donkey a$$holes, but we're not running a studio." I question which movie is considered the apple though because I'm sure they both stink All the same, I agree with Diddly, it was something I might have gone to theaters to see this summer possibly, but delaying it for 3D (which will make it that much more expensive to see) is likely the death stroke on a movie that already had the giant hump of the first movie in the franchise to get over...
It is called "The Arrow" and the source material is apparently the Green Arrow comic book. Billionaire playboy gets stranded on mysterious island for 5 years and when he returns instead of being the a pathetic waste of skin like he used to be, has a cause (fighting corruption) and some fancy (natural) abilities that he takes to the streets in vigilante style heroics. I thought it looked good from this extended preview, but that usually means one of two things.. #1 it won't last beyond the first season or #2 it won't live up to the hype created from the trailer. Here's hoping I'm wrong on both accounts
This time around, it's Rusty's turn to make the drive to Wally World. This could be good, as the film teases at all the original jokes then twists them in unexpected ways, and yet acknowledges you may not have watched (or recalled) the Chevy Chase films.
Kid: "I don't remember the first vacation" Rusty: "It's okay. This vacation will stand on its own."
There were apparently plenty of interesting references contained in Star Wars: The Force Awakens that I missed (some that I caught too mind you): https://youtu.be/DglBQf3U5Xs
