But more to the point, it would be missing the culprits altogether. Those who are NOT seeing the message are the pepole who are guilty of owning/distributing/watching an illegal copy of the movie. Its one of these stupid backwards fixes to a problem.. let's harras the people who ARE buying movies and supporting the system by wasting their time (sure only 10-30 seconds, but why do I have to suffer when I'm not one of the culprits?!?!) I suppose if the message included a hotline for a reward for a LOT of money for turning in a movie pirateer, it might be more like advertising, but instead they need to strongarm everyone who does support the system with a stupidly redundant message that applies to other people. Sigh, now when I watch a terrible movie, it won't be just 1-2 hours of my time I can't ever get back.. now EVERY movie I watch will add 20-30 seconds (above and beyond the 20-30 seconds already forced upon me) that I'll never get back. And it won't even matter if the movie was worthwhile or not. This almost makes me want to get the illegal copies, just to save myself the harrasment! |
