Tim Hudak wants to privatize the OLG and LCBO to save money.  WTF?  There's "billions of dollars tied up in government-run businesses that we really don't need to be in anymore," he says.  How?  These are profitable businesses!  So he intends to cut the debt by cutting revenue?

At best, this is a strategy for a lump sum gain.  Sell profitable public businesses now and get a big chunk of money to plop down against the debt.  Unfortunately, this is a short sighted tactic and leaves us poorer in the long run.

At worst, this may be just an attempt to hand successful industries over to cronies.  Either way, we lose.
