I don't know if anyone uses the search box on the front page of this site.  It's always been just a quick way to do a Google search within those browsers that don't have a search field built in.  But since the whole NSA privacy scandal broke, an anonymous search engine, DuckDuckGo, has seen a record spike in usage.  http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2275867/DuckDuckGo-Sees-Record-Traffic-After-NSA-PRISM-Scandal

Since privacy is something we have to strive for on the internet, I've updated the search box (for all the skins) on this site to use DuckDuckGo.  I did a search for a news article on this site ("danmick super capacitor") which I didn't think would match many pages and it returned 1 result!  Google returns 2,680, of which the 3rd item down is the correct page.
