Using either a Rocksmith connection or just the microphone in your computer (which worked surprisingly well for me!), getinstinct.com will tune your guitar and then work through guitar exercises with you.  By displaying real guitar tab, highlighting the correct note at the correct time, and an animated hand on a fretboard, you can see exactly what you're expected to play.

The neat thing is it will play the piece for you to hear, and then it will listen to you and score your performance.  There's a number of demo songs to play you can try without signing up, and riffs from other users.  Good as another source of practice.  Signing up will get you access to free and paid courses, but I had enough fun just playing submitted riffs.
