Somehow Target just couldn't figure out how to sell to Canadians. After replacing most of our Zeller's stores, Target lost close to a $1 Billion in 2013. They replaced the president of their Canadian business unit, and still ended up losing another $1 Billion or so in 2014. Now they want out, and are closing shop in Canada.
Somehow, compared to the ~130 stores and 18,000 employees Target is cutting loose, Sony's 90 employees across the country seems like a drop in the bucket.
Frankly, Sony store was about the worst place to buy Sony electronics... I always felt the same products were cheaper elsewhere.
