Law professors, former PMs, and Supreme Court Justices are criticizing The Conservative party's new anti-terrorist bill C-51 as dangerous.  They argue it opens the way for Human Rights abuses, and undermines democracy.

Through Muclair's opposition, and increased public awareness, the government has conceded to not fast-track the bill but allow for a committee hearing.
