This DEFINITELY falls under the category of weird. The link to this video was prefaced with "You'll be going WTF for hours".
http://gprime.net/video.php/niceweatherforducksSeriously. Just when you think you've seen enough.. it gets weirder. At least it got Justin Bieber out of my head.

This one is neither weird nor funny really, but I thought you guys and gals might find it interesting... I stole it from someone's blog (and I would guess they stole it from somewhere else)... enjoy:
What is the main ingredient of WD-40 ?
Before you read to the end, does anybody know what the main ingredient of WD-40 is?
I had a neighbor who bought a new pickup. I got up very early one Sunday morning and saw that someone had spray painted red paint all around the sides of his beige truck, vandalizing his truck.
I went over, woke him up, and told him the bad news. He was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do. Another neighbor came out and told him to get some WD-40 and "clean it off".
We were shocked to see how well it removed the unwanted paint and did not harm the original paint job that was on the truck. I'm impressed! WD-40 who knew?
WD 40 = 'Water Displacement #40'.
The product began from a search for a rust preventive/solvent degreaser to protect missile parts.
WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40.
The Convair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts. Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you. When you read the 'shower door' part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned our spotty shower door. If your's is plastic, it works just as well as glass. It's a miracle! Then try it on your stove top ... Viola! It's now shinier than it's ever been. You'll be amazed.
WD-40 uses:
1. Protects silver from tarnishing.
2. Removes road tar and grime from cars.
3. Cleans and lubricates guitar strings.
4. Gives floors that 'just-waxed' sheen without making them slippery.
5.. Keeps flies off cows.
6. Restores and cleans chalkboards.
7. Removes lipstick stains.
8.. Loosens stubborn zippers.
9. Untangles jewelry chains.
10. Removes stains from stainless steel sinks.
11. Removes dirt and grime from the barbecue grill.
12. Keeps ceramic/terra cotta garden pots from oxidizing.
13. Removes tomato stains from clothing.
14. Keeps glass shower doors free of water spots.
15. Camouflages scratches in ceramic and marble floors.
16. Keeps scissors working smoothly..
17. Lubricates noisy door hinges on vehicles and doors in homes.
18. It removes black scuff marks from the kitchen floor! Use WD-40 for those nasty tar and scuff marks on flooring. It doesn't seem to harm the finish and you won't have to scrub nearly as hard to get them off. Just remember to open some windows if you have a lot of marks.
19. Bug guts will eat away the finish on your car if not removed quickly! Use WD-40!
20. Gives a children's playground gym slide a shine for a super fast slide.
21. Lubricates gear shift and mower deck lever for ease of handling on riding mowers...
22.. Rids kids rocking chairs and swings of squeaky noises.
23. Lubricates tracks in sticking home windows and makes them easier to open..
24. Spraying an umbrella stem makes it easier to open and close.
25. Restores and cleans padded leather dashboards in vehicles, as well as vinyl bumpers.
26. Restores and cleans roof racks on vehicles.
27. Lubricates and stops squeaks in electric fans
28. Lubricates wheel sprockets on tricycles, wagons, and bicycles for easy handling.
29. Lubricates fan belts on washers and dryers and keeps them running smoothly.
30. Keeps rust from forming on saws and saw blades, and other tools.
31. Removes splattered grease on stove.
32. Keeps bathroom mirror from fogging.
33. Lubricates prosthetic limbs.
34. Keeps pigeons off the balcony (they hate the smell).
35. Removes all traces of duct tape.
36. Folks even spray it on their arms, hands, and knees to relieve arthritis pain.
37. Florida's favorite use is: 'cleans and removes love bugs from grills and bumpers.'
38. The favorite use in the state of New York , WD-40 protects the Statue of Liberty from the elements.
39. WD-40 attracts fish. Spray a little on live bait or lures and you will be catching the big one in no time. Also, it's a lot cheaper than the chemical attractants that are made for just that purpose. Keep in mind though, using some chemical laced baits or lures for fishing are not allowed in some states.
40. Use it for fire ant bites.. It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch.
41. WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray on the mark and wipe with a clean rag.
42. Also, if you've discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, satur ate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and rewash. Presto! The lipstick is gone!
43. If you sprayed WD-40 on the distributor cap, it would displace the moisture and allow the car to start.
P.S. The basic ingredient is FISH OIL.

Ok here is another one... the Mortal Kombat franchise released two movies in the past that were both awful "martial arts" movies.. check this new one out:
http://www.edge.ca/Blogs/FearlessFred/BlogEntry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10117504Now it seems a little long to be a movie trailer but this actually looked kinda dark and interesting... whaddya think, anyone interested in seeing it when (if) it comes out?

That definitely looks like a cool movie based on the game. One of the best things they did was kill Johnny Cage right away. :) Making it center on Scorpion was a smart move too.

Just a follow up to my post about the Mortal Kombat movie - according to the same source I originally found it on (one of the blogs on 102.1 the Edge), this movie is due out in 2013 but this wasn't a trailer, it was just the short put together to pitch it to the movie company and/or investors. Hopefully it sticks to this storyline and perhaps they can make a Mortal Kombat movie that not only makes it to theaters but possibly lasts more than a week or two?
Ok, that might be unrealistic, but the least they can do is make it better than an "Ernest goes to..." movie, that's not a high expectation!

I don't like passing along forwards too often, but this one made me laugh... actually it really made me laugh because it reminds me of an unfortunate incident involving Hawkeye, a free package of Easter Seal stickers his mom received in the mail one day, and of course his abundantly hairy (and exposed) inner thigh:
FORWARD: U HAVE TO LOVE A GOOD NURSE
A motorcycle patrolman
was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix. The doctors operated and advised him that all was well; however, the patrolman kept feeling something pulling at the hairs in his crotch. Worried that it might be a
second surgery and the doctors hadn't told him about it, he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown up enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable.
Taped firmly across his pubic hair and private parts were three wide strips of adhesive tape, the kind that doesn't come off easily --- if at all. Written on the tape in large black letters was the sentence, 'Get well soon. from the nurse in the Jeep you pulled over last week.'
Kinda brings tears to your eyes doesn't it.

Here is a movie trailer for a Christmas movie.. but one that sounds like something Hawkeye and I would collaborated together to make back in high school:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjkJ6rZg7DI&feature=player_embeddedI kinda hoped it was a joke trailer but the movie is listed on imbd.com with the following synopsis:
On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. Soon after, children start disappearing, leading a boy and his father to capture Santa and, with the help of fellow hunters, they look to sell him back to the corporation that sponsored the dig. And then there's Santa's elves, who are determined to free their leader...

Well that makes more sense than the last (questionably) Christmas movie I watched: Jack Frost
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygnS5njZRak No this isn't the one with Micheal Keaton. Nor it is the stop motion one with Rudolf. It's a Russian fairy tale, and it makes NO sense.

It makes no sense because you can't speak Russian. (I suspect you have to know Russian to get the non-verbal cues) I'm sure if it were translated it would be a oscar winning masterpiece of the human condition.

Karl Pilkington is either the smartest or stupidest man alive. He is better known as Ricky Gervais' right hand man.
Unfortunately (or fortunately??) he's gullible, dumb, and says the most insane things you'll ever hear. There's never any malice behind his ignorance he's just a dumb Brit who likes to stay in his comfort zone. Pilkington has done podcasts, radio shows and specials with Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant for years, but now Steven and Ricky have decided to kick Karl out of his comfort zone and help him see the world. The show's name is "An Idiot Abroad" and here is a clip where he has gone to a temple to learn kung fu from the real masters:

Quoted from Chiquita
Thing is though, helping the impoverished is not the chief reason for immigration.
Quoted Text
Immigrants pay more than $90 billion in taxes every year and receive only $5 billion in welfare. Without their contributions to the public treasury, the economy would suffer enormous losses.

I suspect that "Numbers USA" is sponsored by the right-wing republican support-Big Business-Types.
The problem with the gumball logic, is that if you ignore the tone of what the guy is saying, it comes down to turning your back on 100 million people each year who want to make a better life for themselves, by making the excuse that they could be agents for change in their home countries, when in fact that would likely never happen. They would be against overwhelming odds in their country of origin, and their standard of living would drop to meet the national average, instead of rising to meet the North American national average.
I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of throwing the doors open to immigration, particularly when they don't put enough time into our social programs before drawing on them, as in the case of old age pension. I believe that at one time an immigrant had to live in Canada for only 3 years before collecting Old Age Security. In any case, under the current rules, a sponsored immigrant (eg. married to a Canadian citizen) has to live in Canada for 10 years before eligibility. A non-sponsored immigrant has to live in Canada for 10 years before full eligibility, but can collect a portion of the full benefit for each year they have lived in the country, 10% per year until full rate is reached at 10 years. This rule says nothing of having to work and contribute to the program or economy, it only talks about the amount of time being a resident (I admittedly don't know the rules in the US). Still, immigration is not a bad thing, and if the people who want to come here can be a benefit to our society and economy, and make a better life for themselves at the same time, I'm all for it.
The thing that maybe bothers me most is the statement at the end that says we can only help these people in their own countries. I get the feeling that the point he's trying to make is that we should embrace the current trend of sending manufacturing (and many services) to low cost countries, in the name of helping those poor people better their lot in life. The problem is that they still make a crap wage, and their lot gets no better. The move is purely about corporate greed, and I believe it creates as much poverty in our part of the world as it solves in theirs.

I agree he is a right wing b******. I think his point is somewhat valid, Western countries cannot absorb the worlds poor (regardless of the negative/positive impact on our societies). Poor countries need to create their own economic identities, manage their own population growth, and create their own social stability. External western input is likely going to be seen as never enough or parental.
Personally, I think Canada's immigration policy is currently an embarrassment. As a country we need to ask ourselves, what type of society values do we have and what future society do we want to have in Canada and only let people in who meet those ideals. Incoming candidates need a video like Netherlands has explaining how Canadian society is and what is expected in terms of human rights/religious limitations/social customs etc.
I am tired of hearing about graduate students or individuals from other countries who want citizenship for only cheaper tuition or a backup plan if their home country goes to mess...[well thanks for using us..would have been nice to have given citizenship to someone who wants to be part of Canada]
Posted by: Hawkeye, February 11, 2011, 9:36pm; Reply: 88
Quite frankly, I don't believe people should be able to have dual citizenship. Either you are Canadian or you are not.
Posted by: Danmick, February 12, 2011, 3:31am; Reply: 89
I agree with both of you. I'm not saying that we should throw the doors wide open by any means, but I'm not entirely against immigration like some people I know (I've never believed in the "immigrants steal our jobs" philosophy. Immigrants get those jobs because they applied for them, and there are enough natural born citizens that don't really try for work, that it seems like an excuse to me. When was the last time you saw someone who was clearly an immigrant standing at the end of an off-ramp or at a set of street lights begging for money? Get a job.) I think the people we let in have to be contributors to society, and not detractors, but there is of course a limit to the number of people we can let in. Remember that every non-aboriginal who lives in North America is descended from immigrants. The principle is sound, but we need to be more choosy, and frankly, we need to be slightly more of a melting pot society. People are welcome to keep their customs and stay true to their heritage, as long as it doesn't conflict with the rules set in place for our society. Conform to society in the country you've chosen as your home, don't expect it to conform to you. Learn to communicate effectively with the people in your community. Welcome to Canada.

Face is quite proud to have negotiated as 'Peach Pear Artist management' a profitable deal, filling Chuck's country dance hall "Floor'em" and get all the profits of a show by Cowboy George. Unfortunately the scam-artist has been scammed- his own contract allows substitution and is abused to dump on him an elsewhere canceled concert by British rock star Boy George, which the redneck audience appreciates less then drought. Boy and his Culture Club are most cooperative, and Hannibal impersonates Cowboy George, so they must now try to put both on stage, while getting wind armed bank robbers have a deal with Chuck to hit the armed car of the audience's payroll- the team stops them but they get the protection of the fake sheriff Miller who tells the workers the team he jailed committed the robbery.

An interesting link Chiquita.. M did pump out a lot of stats and claimed that we aren't equals (which I'm not disputing by the way)... but I would be interested to know what the stats are for men for all the same things she brought up (how many men are killed by partners/former partners, how many are sexually assaulted etc.) just to give more context to what she is saying...
The only stat I think that is badly skewed is the one about women earning only 10% of the money worldwide. There are a lot of women who are stay-at-home moms/wives... while a noble sacrifice (again I'm being serious and not in the least sarcastic), this choice also comes without a paycheque. I realize that chances are many women are not given the choice (such as in 3rd world countries where in many cases they are at best treated as second-class citizens) but there are a lot of women who make the choice willingly. If my wife earned enough (we earn roughly the same amount), I would choose to be a stay-at-home dad. I'd love to be able to focus time and energy on my children and while I'm not overly fond of housework, I certainly love to cook... but the point is, for many women, I think it is a conscious choice that they make. So all those zero-incomes would probably rise that 10% figure not to a 50-50 split, but better than a 90-10 split at least...
Just something to consider.

Wow.. I have no other words for this movie:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssHEAOrAdCU&feature=player_embeddedBTW.. that was not a good "wow"...
Now sure, you might say "Rutgar Hauer? This is likely to be a pretty bad movie anyhow" because let's face it, by the time the producers passed this script by all bottom-feeders whose career's barely qualifies them to be called b-listers, they finally got around to asking Rutgar (and I'd bet even he reluctantly agreed for the sake of a paycheque), but them this trailer proves it doesn't even quite live up to that low expectation...
But hey, I had to share it all the same.. it is rare to see a movie trailer that looks THIS awful!

The 2001 Space Odessy should be used in movies (big or little budget) where the movie's defining moment couldhave been written better by a kindergarden class (or by a team of the writers working on a Canadian TV show)

I almost posted this to the news feed because this IS a real product that you can actually buy.. the infomercial almost makes it seem like a spoof of the genre of infomercials with lines such as "problems with that shedding girl private?" and "ladies we know you always wanted to schtick it to your husband".. but no it is real.. I've seen it on TV.. at least the host has a sense of humour about getting arrested a couple years ago (of course they don't mention that it was over punching a prostitue for laughing at his man-stuff, but maybe that was only a rumour and he just was caught wanking himself into a shamwow to help show how it could absorb even the stickiest messes at some local hardware store).
In any case, watch the video below and order your Schticky today!!

Wow.. that's pretty bad.. I suppose I could understand someone making the mistake once.. but after the second mistake, maybe someone should have gone to investigate whether this was fraud or not ;)
As for the idiots and their tweets.. I kind of take the side of Homeland Security... if people make jokes like that and HS doesn't clamp down on them, security will just get lax. It's as funny as jokingly shouting "bomb" at an airport (which I suppose could be funny when you see the person get tackled and cuffed). I wish we lived in a world where jokes like this could easily be brushed aside. I agree that HS can be tools and certainly enjoy power tripping faaaaar too much, but with their job, I can't blame them for having no sense of humour.

I would agree, except that we're talking about DHS here - they have resources on par with the CIA or NSA. If they truly believed that this couple was a threat to America, they should want to investigate, and during the 12 hours that the couple was in detention, they could have made a quick call to their counterparts in GB for confirmation of the slang, and maybe done a google search or something to confirm the family guy reference (of course looking for it now just produces articles about this incident). This pair is going to be blacklisted from entering the US now, because of a stupid joke (albeit in poor taste maybe) that any reasonable person would recognize as such. If making jokes in poor taste becomes a legitimate reason deny access, some people I know will never be allowed to go anywhere ;)
It should also be noted that these comments weren't made on the flight over or anything, they were made a couple of weeks before the trip. So I would say it's nothing like saying "bomb" at an airport, it's more like saying in conversation with a friend two weeks before you even get to the airport.

Recently all the A-List voice actors for Justice League animated series were brought together for a new movie, Justice League: Doom. That's Tim Daly (Superman), Kevin Conroy (Batman), Michael Rosenbaum (The Flash), and Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman). In this movie, they used Nathan Fillion for the voice of Green Lantern (since he had just done another Green Lantern animated movie and it worked well).
That's the back story. Now Tim Daly seems to think he
is Superman. Nathan Fillion comes to help out.

The nice thing about smart cars is that you could park perpendicular to the curb, and it would have almost the same footprint. Of course, I'm not confident that she would have been able to park perpendicular to the curb either.

Game of Thrones drinking game:
http://www.buzzfeed.com/summeranne/a-drinking-game-of-thronesI don't know if this is so much a drinking game as it is steps 8 through 17 in becoming an alcoholic!
(Hey if there can be a 12 step process to become a recovering alcoholic, why can't there be a multi-step process to becoming one...?!?)
The person whose blog posted this drinking game had a great tweet about George RR Martin too:
Why doesn't George RR Martin have Twitter? Because his first tweet would kill all 140 characters. boom roasted.
Posted by: Diddly, April 25, 2012, 3:50pm; Reply: 254
He does have twitter. It's @GeorgeRRMartin with 26,000+ followers.
Also, I think there's only 2 steps to becoming an alcoholic. Step 1) Drink. Step 2) Goto Step 1.
Posted by: Shabadu_SMH, April 25, 2012, 7:10pm; Reply: 255
I know he has a twitter account (I've heard him talk about it in an interview before).. but it was still funny.. well at least I thought it was funny. ;)
As for the 2 steps to becoming an alcoholic, I would say if it were merely TWO steps, we would all be alcoholics... each "goto step 1" is an additional 2 steps, making it a fairly long journey (thankfully).

Hahahahaha... that looks like it could actually be a fun game. The fact that Obsidian is involved peaked my interest most because I agree with the article, they know RPG gaming!
And Matt and Trey obviously have been granted the freedom to do what they do best with lines (in the trailer) such as:
Cartman in voice-over: We need a savior that can undo that which has been did
Kyle: I'll do it.
<long pause with everyone staring at Kyle>
Cartman: Jews can't be saviors.. remember?

Unbelievable, but here is a review someone wrote on IMDB.com:
Overall, I like Lord of the Rings. However, I do feel that Tolkien kind of rips off Harry Potter in many ways. There are several parallels, such as elves, dwarfs, wizards, goblins, trolls, magic (especially invisibility), etc. Sauron is referred to as “Dark Lord” just like Voldemort is. There is also the elder white-haired bearded wizard who serves as a mentor, Gandalf, who is reminiscent of Dumbledore. Some of the character names are similar, such as Wormtongue as opposed to Wormtail, too. There is even a gigantic spider (Shelob) at the end of “The Two Towers” that reminds one of Aragog from Chamber of Secrets. I even noticed that the plots of both series begin with the protagonists’ birthday. Now I see that Tolkien, this unoriginal bastard, is coming out with The Hobbit in December. This would be fine, but why didn’t he just write this book first to begin with? I still like Lord of the Rings, though–don’t get me wrong–but I wonder if Tolkien has ever said in interviews whether he borrowed elements from Harry Potter. I’ll be watching the extended DVDs later this week and I think he’s featured on the commentary track, so I look forward to that.
I can`t tell if this person was being serious or not, but here is the page I read about it on:

The Hawkeye Initiative puts marvel's Hawkeye into poses matching female characters from the comics. Delightfully disturbing drawings.

Ok somewhat disturbing, but let's face it, women actually wear some of the styles of clothing depicted in some of the scenes and men (generally speaking) don't (the Marj Jane with the cup of coffee picture for example)... and some of the ridiculous poses they have female heroine's hovering in are not exclusive to just females (for instance the Spiderwoman pose where her knees are up by her ears as she swings or leaps or whatever action she is taking... Spiderman fairly commonly poses the same way.. comics are stil pictures and one of the ways to really bring the action to the fore front is to show poses where the individual is in a totally ridiculous end-of-motion-peak to really emphasize the movement itself.. admittedly the one with the heroine's a** up in the air is extra silly, but then so are people parading around in spandex, especially when they are battling one another and rarely get a tear ;)

anmick passed this along to me and it was good for a bunch of laughs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=JF65s9huePkTwo warnings:
#1 NSFW
#2 If you ain' seen the latest Batman, this has spoilers... sorta
Sorta??? Sheesh Shabby.. that scene is spoilerific and destroys the biggest surprise in the movie! Would you say "How it Should Have Ended: Batman Rises" (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLyoog562x4) contains spolers? Cuz I sure do.
However, John Scalzi (author of Old Man's War) describes the Spoiler Statute of Limitations here:
http://whatever.scalzi.com/2009/03/06/spoiler-statute-of-limitations/
Quoted Text
Television: One week (because it’s generally episodic, and that’s how long you have until the next episode)
Movies: One year (time enough for everyone to see it in the theaters, on DVD and on cable)
Books: Five years (because books don’t reach nearly as many people at one time)
In contrast, this blog argues there shouldn't be a Statute of Limitations on spoilers, since not everybody gets around to experiencing the same thing at the same time.
http://www.soundonsight.org/no-statute-of-limitations-for-spoilers/

The magic of the movies come from the feeling of being mesmerized and enchanted by the experience. By knowing how the trick will end, or how the magician does it beforehand, the magic is ostensibly gone, or at least made more cerebral and less affecting. Those who were fortunate enough to be spellbound the first time around shouldn’t rob others of the same magic
Me? I think fair warning is the best policy, which is why saying "sorta" jumped out at me as ambiguous. Contains spoilers? Definitely. Is the dialogue exactly how it appears in the movie? Nope. Wouldn't be funny then. In fact, the whole video isn't really funny unless you understand the context, which kind of requires watching the movie (or otherwise knowing the entire plot).
And to finish on something funny:

Wow.. the top 5 most offensive video games ever made... be cautioned that this is definitely offensive so don't watch it if there is anyone around who will take offense (NSFW).
This isn't really funny, but it is weird to say the least:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCqKVpDz7oI#5 and #4 were cheesy and dumb and made me think this top 5 list wasn't going to add up to much in the realm of being offensive, but #3 is where this list really begins (in my opinion).. created in absolutely AWFUL taste. But not as much as #2 - as I was watching #2, I thought to myself what could be more offensive than a game that endorses rape (yes, you play a sexual predator).. but then #1 does actually manage to rightfully take the cake as the most tasteless and offensive. I sincerely hope someone tried to sue whoever created that game, because the thoughtlessness involved in creating something like this has to verge on psychotic... I know if I knew someone involved in that real-life event, I would want to see the creators of this game brought to some sort of justice!

I suspect that most of us would agree that the whole Gangnam Style fad was unfortunate and unnecessary. This version of the video is pretty good however because it shows the same party-time video without the party - the musical backing track has been removed, and a Foley artist has added in the sounds we would hear if this was a whackjob living the video for real without musical accompaniment :)

NSFW
Here is a trailer for "Family Guy: the XXX Parody".. as my first line indicates, this ain't really suitable for work.. however, it IS on youtube, so there isn't anything too explicit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPW2ODorU98I especially liked how they incorporated the often-over-used gasping-in-pain-shin-splints gag at the very end of the trailer... ;)

Let us give thanks to the North Korean government for giving us a glimpse into life in America - I didn't notice any of this going on right under my nose last time I was there!
http://youtu.be/oKH-UnOvIsoThis one exposes the American propaganda machine; unfortunately, some of it may be a little harder to poke fun at:

This video on wimp.com is entitled "now that's how you do it", but I get the feeling that this is NOT how you should do it unless you want your digger to wear out 50 times faster than it should ;)
Either way, enjoy:

What? Poor production? I thought the video quality of the ad was first rate.
However, at the beginning I thought they need sunscreen because they were in full sunshine. Then, when the thing FINALLY opened up fully they were in shade. I don't know about you guys, but a couple hours to wait after you've turned your tv on is not a fast response.

I guess "Hayseed Dixie" must mean "redneck".. in either case, here is something called "Hayseed Dixie Strawberry Fields", a banjo-infused version of the Beatles song... accompanied by a variety of redneck images... I actually kinda liked the rendition of the song, much more than the actual imagery, but there WERE some pictures that I definitely had to roll my eyes at... so whether you enjoy a visual tour of redneckian living or just like a little banjo pluckin', enjoy:

I normally don't like the Emmys (or any award show for that matter) but Weird Al did a cool number singing a bunch of TV show theme songs. MadMen is the first one and sort of funny.. the middle songs were meh, but the Game of Thrones song was pretty good.

Need to listen to music, but have no radio and don't want to install or load clumsy ad-ridden web apps on your PC? Just go to
https://cmd.fm/, type
genres and hit enter. Now type
play followed by the genre of your choice and hit enter. Enjoy!
For example, I entered
play Classic Rock and am now listening to "Shine on You Crazy Diamond".
There's other commands, just enter
help to see what else you can do.

Customer service horror stories:
http://notalwaysright.com/An example that made me laugh:
Quoted Text
(I work in a Halloween pop up shop that sells costumes and accessories. A mother and son, about five years old, come in.)
Boy: “Excuse me, I want a Batman costume.”
Woman: “Not too expensive, please.”
Me: “Okay! Let me let me show you where they are.”
(I lead them to the costumes, turn around to talk to them, and the boy is completely naked.)
Boy: “I’m going to try that one!”
Woman: “[Boy]! We need to put on your clothes!”
Boy: “But you said being naked is good for your soul.”
Me: *trying unsuccessfully to stifle laughter*
(The woman is frantically apologizing and trying to put on her son’s clothes.)
Son: “No! My soul!”
