Need something new on Netflicks? Check out Occupied (Okkupert is its original Norwegian title). The series was created by crime thriller novelist/former economist/reporter Jo Nesbo http://jonesbo.com/. To get a sense of his work check out the exert of his new book on his website.

I don't want to ruin the series by revealing too much.  Occupied is a political drama set in the near future at the breaking point of global oil production. Civil Wars across the Middle East and Arab states have halted all remaining oil/gas production and escalated the EU energy crisis. North America is not willing to play. Norway makes a decision.

Damn crazy those red, white an blue!

Pros
-great addictive writing will keep you watching as the conflicts and complications twist the world
-Henrick Mestad and Eldar Skar are great actors

Cons
-subtitles (they are easy to read) but you can't look away from the screen as several languages (including English) are spoken

4.8/5 :) :) :) :) :)
