How to install it ?

Unzip all the files with subdirectories (i.e. "cfg", "doc", "emails" and "xml")

What else do I need to have on my computer ?

Web2Rex is compatible with Win98SE/Me/NT/2000/XP and requires to have MS Internet Explorer install on your machine in order to use REX Info (and only for that).
You also need to have IntellySync for REX and VRexNet tools. Check out the Web2Rex "must have" Tools for more information.

How to transfer my XML web page to my REX ?

Once you have your XML web pages downloaded, you need to have and run the VREXNET freeware (set the Virtual Rex Net local directory to the "xml" application subdirectory). Then, you just simply use the Intellisync application and your XML web pages will be downloaded in the Web content of your REX  Check out the Web2Rex "must have" Tools for more information.

Can I customize Web2Rex ?

Customization of Web2Rex is NOT something recommended as it can crash your application and may be also your Windows system !!!
The main purpose of customization is to permit "some flexibility" in case the content/layout of a web page used by Web2Rex (such as yahoo.com for example) has just changed or in the case the location of the web page is no longer the same.
So in case this happens one day, click on the custom button to update the particular web . For more information about out to determine the URL and the tags, check out the download errors ant you will probably also need to use the Html2Rex web site too.

How to use "html2txt" with Web2Rex ?

Most of the Web pages used by Web2Rex are converted into text using the "html2txt" website before to be converted in XML format for REX6000. Below is the procedure to follow in order to determine what is the "html2txt" URL of your web page (example is using a fake web address for yahoo) - go to the web site "http://cgi.w3.org/cgi-bin/html2txt" - enter the URL of your web page, for example: "http://www.yahoo.com/94041" - select the option "don't include references inline with the text" - press the button "Convert" The URL displayed by your web browser is the "html2txt" web page. In our example this is: "http://cgi.w3.org/cgi-bin/html2txt?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yahoo.com%2F94041&noinlinerefs=on
What if I want to use Web2Rex parameter(s) in this URL ? Just replace any parameter with "%s". For example, let's say 94041 was the San Francisco area code in our previous example, by replacing "94041" by "%s" you will have the following gerenirc Web2Rex address: "http://cgi.w3.org/cgi-bin/html2txt?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yahoo.com%2F%s&noinlinerefs=on
