Aji Izakaya is all those things, and is totally worth checking out. Chiquita and I sampled many options from the extensive menu and enjoyed every one. There wasn't a sketchy piece in the bunch. In fact, we both say it was the best sushi we've had in Waterloo region in over a year. I put it on par with Ken sushi in quality.
The chefs took care to make every combination of orders appealing, and the serving staff announced what was presented on every dish. No more "What's this? Who ordered something that looks like that?"
We'll definitely be going back, as there are many rolls we still want to try.
