I think we all watched the first one, and it was funny, but the second one... well.. pretty lame actually. Maybe it's because I've seen it before, on TV.
Ok the Hilary doll was odd.. but not as odd as these Mac's Convenience Store commercials... these are brought to you from the same people who did the "Barq's has bite" commercials all those years ago...
Ok, I know I've not been reading or posting here for a while.. nor have I been checking out the sites with wierd games and animations like gprime.net or albinoblacksheep.com.. but for some reason I decided to check them out tonight at 2am... don't know why, I just did...
At any rate, when I saw this one for a Daft Punk song I like, I had to watch it... and holy mess.. I will never worry that I waste too much time doing useless stuff cause the only way someone could make this video is through hour and hours of practice.. give it a watch and then see if you can keep pace (if you really want to write on your hands is your choice, I just tried flipping through the same finger sequence.. easy enough for the first couple lyrical rounds but again I say holy mess!!!
Also, you need to check out the Whitest Kids U Know on youtube.com.. they are a funny stuff comedy troupe like the Kids in the Hall but WAAAAAAY edgier.. some of their stuff is roll around funny, others only builds to a funny conclusion, and other stuff.. well other stuff I'm sure is funny to some or if you're in the right mood.. but that's the same for all comedy troupes... Kids in the Hall, SNL, MAdTV.. they all have their best and worst...
Anyhow, three of their funniest (to me) are below.. the office jerk I posted before I think, but I had to include it again.. and then the court room one is one of the slow builds... and the Hitler rap.. well I think it speaks for itself. Enjoy:
Here is an article that sums up almost any RPG on the PC, consoles, handhelds, etc. (Although I think the Pen-and-Paper variety had more depth). It's quite funny how well it points out the commonly accepted flaws in such games.
A growing number of music "mash-ups" are appearing on the web. Some good, some horrible. But this is the first I've seen of video mash-ups. Someone combined Simpsons video with 300 audio (from the 300 trailer). It's quite impressive! http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/79244/detail/
Here's a neat site. Test your vocabulary skills and with each correct answer, 20 grains of rice are donated through the UN to relieve world hunger. I seem to hover around the 38-40 level for vocabulary.
A slight variant on the Towers game. This one does not have a set path for the creeps to follow, but instead you use your towers to determine their path (and gun them down). I quite enjoy Fun mode where you start with 10K dollars, then watch the carnage!
This one is neat. You have eight selections to make this island the best. each selection affects the others and when you select one you can watch the little animations. The goal is, after you've selected all eight, that you will have brought each one to a max level. However, I've only been able to get three to max level. It is addictive.
This video is 2 1/2 or 3 minutes in length... I know that is long when you first start watching it you'll think "ok this is bad but it won't get any worse..." All I can say is keep watching it... it gets worse.. then with 10 seconds left it ACTUALLY get far FAR worse than you might have imagined it could get from where it already went...
Here's one for y'all. The running gag on Jimmy Kimmel live is that at the end of each show (for a long time) he would say "And that's all the time we have... Sorry Matt Damon... maybe we'll get to you tomorrow..." Implying, of course, that Matt is always in the green room waiting to be on the show... With that knowledge in mind view the following.
Comedian Sarah Silverman is dating talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel in the United States, and she wrote him this original song:
Wow, that whole Matt Damon vs Jimmy Kimmel rivalry made me laugh so hard. Did you happen to catch the result when Matt Damon FINALLY made it on to the show?
Ok, for those of you with newborn babies these may be obvious tips.. then again, perhaps Hawkeye should pay special attention to these just to be safe...
Diddly, watch this cartoon... it is about three twenty-somethings with a time-traveling bathtub who go throughout history causing havoc by bringing people from the past into the present (sometimes including themselves).. this time around they bring Elvis... the part for you to listen for is what Elvis says when they wake him up on the crapper when they first go back to get him.. its relevant to YOU specifically ;P
These have actually been around for a few years now. They work in a similar fashion to those vacuum cleaners that wander the room at random, changing direction when they encounter an obstacle. They use an electronic fence which is buried around the perimeter of the yard to determine boundaries.
Yeah, I mean granted he probably couldn't walk in a straight line, but he could walk. I would think though he would still be in a lot of pain. Internal organs don't respond well to be repeated jarring like that.
No no no, that's not her mutant third hand. That's his mutant member, which has a hand at the end. See, it's coming from between his legs. She's in the process of fainting at the sight of it.
Great site though! It's pretty funny what makes it through to print.
Ok, we're all gaming geeks who access this message board so I figured everyone would be able to appreciate this green screen acting for the all new "Dragon Hunter II" (holy crap, I was crying at work this made me laugh so freakin hard!):
THIS made you laugh so hard you cried? It was so lame and predictable! Where's the funny? Your avatar is funnier than that clip. The only thing that was mildly amusing was the facial expression of the second guy when the imaginary arrows start flying again.
The Onion had this little video article asking whether the government was spying on schizophrenics enough? Great for a laugh.. unless you're paranoid and then it is simply further evidence that there is no such thing as being "too paranoid"!
The Onion is great. I laughed at that one, and this one was good too. "The Wildly Popular Iron Man trailer to be made into a full length movie". The concern about it sucking is just awesome.
I found this on AlbinoBlackSheep, but it's been pulled, so I'm posting the link to YouTube. It's a video by Weezer called "Pork and Beans", and it includes all the people from the internet fads of the past couple years. (eg, the Numa Numa dancer) http://www.youtube.com/user/weezer?ob=1
Even better, here's a video with annotations you can click whenever a "fad" gimmick shows up in the video. Clicking the annotation will take you to the original fad video.
If you ever want to feel dumb (or smart, depending on how much of this you understand), feel free to watch lectures from The Perimeter Institute here in Waterloo.
Hahahaha.. that was just wrong.. the dude with the food stuck to his face was such an idiot! Perhaps if they provide these deletable food items in the feed bags people wouldn't eat nearly as much:
Mmmm... a bottle of that wine, with some Casu Marzu lightly melted on to a big helping of Pacha. A side of Escamoles mixed with Lutefisk. Extra Lutefisk actually (you'll need it!). Of course Balut would be dessert. The older the better.
Here is a neat cartoon which can be found at http://www.qwantz.com/ I've added a couple samples. The neat thing is the pictures never change. There are 6 panels showing different pictures, but they remain the same from strip to strip.
Oh man that's awesome. Every comic panel is the same, yet each story original. I loved the whole mirror universe storyline (starts here: http://www.qwantz.com/archive/000034.html) where all dino's are evil and have goatees.
But the one that made me laugh the most thus far was this one:
If you've never been to the Despair Inc. website (or haven't been there in a while - I've been a fan for years), I recommend checking it out. I've linked to the page where you can browse all of the demotivational posters, but the whole site is good for laughs (be sure to check out the despairwear and videos).
The Original Star Wars trilogy as told by someone who's never seen it! Animation added to go along with the retelling. Definitely worth seeing if you have, in fact, seen the trilogy. http://vimeo.com/2809991?pg=embed&sec=2809991
There is no swearing, it is clean.. dumb but clean... I can't believe this is a real song... if you want to actually understand the lyrics, here they are:
Well this was a video posted on one of the Edge's (102.1) blogs... I wish all videos took this same approach.
While there is nothing in the video you couldn't watch at work, be warned that you might not want to watch it with any sensitive co-workers standing over your shoulder watching what you're watching
Would've been a good video to see being shot. Although I don't think the last woman was too happy about the concept.
This reminded me of a Censor Art video I saw a while ago, where the participants make designs and pictures out of the censor bars covering their itty bits.
That last link reminded me of Dysfunctional Family Circus. I used to check that out in the 90's, now there's a bunch of mirrors floating around since the original is long gone. People would submit their own captions for real Family Circus comics. Here's a typical one from the first mirror that came up in google. http://dfc.furr.org/archive/4.html
Ok, someone had a LOT of free time and obviously knew how to develop their own film or else owns a printer supply store because if they printed all these pictures they must have gone through 100 cartridges of ink...
This movie is pretty cool, I especially like how the creator continues to change perspectives and angles!
Ok.. a while back I think I posted a link about bacon flavoured vodka. If I didn't, it exists and apparently is selling well in the US.. no word yet about when it will (or if it already is) north of the boarder..
But now I found another series of bacon-themed products. Check em out.. anything you would try?
Actually, those lollipops might not be bad. Maple + Bacon is the most common flavour combination, so might be a tasty sucker. The mixes of bacon plus sweets just seems really gross (Bacon CupCake I'm looking at you!)
One of my favourite party finger foods is bacon-wrapped maraschino cherries. The salty bacon complements the sweetness of the cherries perfectly! (I haven't talked to anyone who's tried it and disliked it)
Are you sure Hawkeye or did you just catch some reflection from your monitor? What the hell is that T-rex doing on the other side to make him shake back and forth like that?
I think everyone here knows the Whitest Kids You Know by now.. here is a sketch about how the Lord of the Rings trilogy should have ended (or at least a question that should have been asked because I always wondered this very thing myself):
The sketch is funny, but it is the wrap up text at the end that made me think that Hawkeye, Diddly and I absolutely should start our very own comedy troupe because it just sounded like the kind of thing we would have created back at the lunchtable years ago!
Haha.. this made me laugh.. I don't own a mini-van like Hawkeye yet, but it is likely to be our next vehicle.. this almost makes it seem cool (almost but not still not quite):
